Hubbard Glacier

It was cold viewing the Hubbard Glacier. The temperature was in the high 30s so we bundled the kids up for some scenic viewing before naptime.
Since it was early in the cruise season, there was a lot of ice in the water. At this point, we were going through a large ice field. We could hear the ice clinking against the ship.
I think we were 2 1/4 miles from the glacier at the closest point. Later in the summer, the ships will be able to get closer. Our captain could've gotten closer but it was such slow going that he ran out of time.
My parents were tough and stay on the top (coldest) deck of the ship for a couple of hours. Here is a picture of them on their deck.
