Racing Around the Track and to Dinner

We had a great flight to Orlando on JetBlue. The pilot let kids take turning sitting in his seat while people were boarding. Wesley was afraid to touch anything but he liked sitting in the captian's chair. I didn't have my camera out so I missed a wonderful opportunity. The flight wasn't full so Chris and Wesley sat in the front row while Lydia and I sat in the second row. She sat in his carseat and had nice nap while I watched satellite tv.

We were able to spend a few hours at Magic Kingdom before our dinner at Whispering Canyon. Here are the kids on the monorail.

After lunch we met up with friends and rode Buzz Lightyear. Wesley and Lydia thought it was fun to be in jail with the Zerg.
Wesly has never seen a tv show or movie with Stitch but last year he developed a real fondness for the guy. I think he likes him because he is blue. Lydia wasn't really sure about him but as we were walking away she was saying, "Bye Bye Rabbit."

The kids also got to meet Buzz Lightyear. I think Ainsley was trying to stand like him.

Last year when I made the mistake of letting Wesley drive the race car around the track, I thought we weren't going to make it. I had to help him steer which made him really mad. This year, I refused to try it with him again so Chris rode with him. Apparently he did much better this year. Notice that he had to look around the steering wheel.

I rode with Lydia who was snuggled up against me most of the ride. While we were waiting to exit the car, she fell asleep.
We had a wonderful dinner with our friends, the Powells, and Chris' mom and dad. We did almost miss our reservations because Chris and I got a little lost which is very unlike us. There were a few stressful minutes as the manager told Nancy that they could not hold the table for us. Thank God, the computer at the restaurant went down and they were unable to give our table for nine away.
I really do love having dinner reservations every night. It is the only way to eat at most of the sit-down restaurants here. It also forces us to stop, sit, and relax (as much as possible with two three year olds and an 18 month old). It is also great knowing that if we do something different than the grandparents or the Powells during the day that we will at least see them at dinner. Last year, we usually also saw them for part of the day if not the entire day.

Fun! I wish the pilots let me sit in the cockpit, I love planes :)! They used to let me look in when I was little, I guess now maybe they'll let "Eitan" look in, ha!

It's so cool to see your travels while you're still traveling! :)
