Last night was "Dads' Night" at Wesley's preschool. He was very excited about showing Daddy his new school.
Cards were displayed in the classroom. One the outside of the cards were sentences that the children completed about their fathers. On the inside of the cards was a picture of the child. The idea was the dad would read the outside of the cards and then guess which card described them.
Wesley's card for Chris said:
My dad's favorite food is pepperoni.
My dad likes football and soccer.
My dad is 15 or 13 years old.
I like it when my dad helps me put together my train track.
I will let you guess which of the above statements are true.
Chris said most of the children said their dads were less than 10 but one card said "My dad is 68."
In the classroom, the kids and dads did an art project. They used ink to put their fingerprints on a card and then drew on the fingerprints to make them look like fish.
After the classroom activities, everyone went to the fellowship hall for singing and desserts. Below is a video of one of Wesley's favorite songs now. At the beginning of the video, he is goofing off with his favorite friend at school.

that card idea is the cutest thing ever! I bet Chris loved it.
What fun things they had for them to do! It looks like a really great time! This Tuesday is Ainsley's preschool's night with the dads (what a great idea in general, by the way!) and I can't wait to see how it goes now! I love his video--sooooo cute!!
So precious! A dad's night! I am jealous...maybe I will make my own dad's night!
So sweet! Amanda loved watching the video!
That's so cute! Kids' understanding about their parents' likes/dislikes and especially the issue of age is humorous. My daughter now knows my age and announces it to everyone. Let's hope she never learns my weight! :-)
How fun! I love the idea of the Dad's card. Maybe I'll have to do that with Evan here at home.
