It Came In the Mail

Last month, I was reading Pop Rocks for Breakfast and saw Christie was doing a fun give away called "Pay it Forward." She had received a gift in the mail from another blogger and it was her turn to pay it forward. I was the first person to comment.

A few days later I got to give Christie my address in person. She and Nancy went to high school together in Japan and they reconnected through facebook and blogging. I started following Christie's blog and I knew right away that I really liked her and that we had some things in common. When I visited Nancy, I got to meet Christie. It was so much fun getting to know her better. Nancy said it was a little freaky that Christie and I had so many things in common.

A couple weeks later I received the following in the mail from Christie.

Christie sent me gifts for my five senses:
taste -a cool travel mug
sight - a pretty cross bookmark
touch - a sivler bracelet with a heart that says "hope"
smell- a candle
hearing - a Chris Botti CD

Now, not everyone would know who Chris Botti but I did. He is a trumpet player and we saw him perform with Sting in San Diego in 2000. Chris has a couple of his CDs but not the one Christie sent me.

Thank you Christie!

Now it is my turn to Pay it Forward

Here's how to play: Be one of the first three people to leave a comment for me. You'll need to be willing to give me your mailing address, or at least your email address at first, and I will send a small gift your way. After you receive your package in the mail, write a post about it, and link back to my blog. You also agree to Pay It Forward and send gifts to the three people who comment on your blog (remember -- only leave one of the first 3 comments for me if you are willing to send out 3 small gifts to other people!)

Wow, what an awesome gift, Christie sent! I didn't know who Chris Botti was, but of course you two would know! (Yes, it is kind of freaky about you two--but I love it!)

I want to participate! I don't promise that my gift will be as cool as an 'all 5 senses' gift, but I will be happy to send a sweet something forward on to 3 others! xoxox

Yay! :)
