Sometimes I say, "Whoever gets in the tub first gets to choose the towel." This really motivates both kids to get ready for a bath. I said it last night while we were all still downstairs. Wesley immediately ran upstairs and started getting undressed and Lydia followed him. Wesley is faster and completely independent with undressing and going potty. Chris said to me, "You better go help Lydia." So, I did.
Wesley was ready for the bath first and I assumed he was in the tub but when Lydia was finally ready, she ran and jumped in the tub first. Wesley was sitting in the floor beside the tub.
I couldn't help but laugh. Hopefully this was a good lesson in fully following directions.
And maybe it is time to start reading this book to the kids.
