Well...a couple of weeks ago Chris started talking about taking Lydia to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I read some reviews and I was impressed by what other people said about it. We couldn't get an appointment at the one in the castle but we did get an appointment at Downtown Disney.
Lydia was so excited when we told her that morning that we were taking her to a special place to get her hair styled, makeup applied, and nails polished. She couldn't wait. She was also excited to get to wear her Halloween costume again. You know, the mermaid without the tail.
The place was much smaller and a lot more cramped than I expected but Lydia's fairy godmother made her feel so special. Lydia held her hands very still the entire time after her nails were polished.
Josiah slept through the entire appointment.
After her makeup was applied the fairy godmother started working on Lydia's hair. It took a lot of (water soluble) product.
After her hair was set, the fairy godmother applied "pixie dust" (glitter). Lydia sat perfectly still for 45 minutes. Her fairy godmother commented, "Most three years won't sit this still. Is she always like this?" We wish!
Posing for pictures. Of course, there were Photo Pass (Disney) photographers there.
The back of her bun was held together by Mickey.
After lunch at Wolfgang Puck Cafe we headed to Magic Kingdom to meet up with Grandma, Grandpa, and Wesley.
Wesley had a surprise of his own for us.
We had asked Wayne and Dianna to try to get Wesley's hair cut at the Barber Shop on Main Street at Magic Kingdom. They were able to get his hair cut after a very brief wait.
I am amazed at how much more spacious and less congested the barber shop is than the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
After his hair cut, Wesley chose to get his hair colored red.
He also had glitter put in his hair. He loved it!
All the cast members at Disney World call all the little girls "Princess." After the first two days of this, Wesley asked me, "Why does everyone keep calling Lydia 'Princess'" He didn't ask that after her little makeover.

Oh wow! What a special day. She looks simply adorable. I'll put it on my to-do list for when Rachel's older.
Absolutely adorable! I'm so glad they both had good experiences! I love hearing about your vacation!
She looks so cute! I love Ohana...yum!
i say the same thing with keira- but i am pretty sure we will be doing that at disney in 2 years:)
1. She looks precious and like she had a ball!!
2. I'm shocked! But, like you said, Never say Never. I've learned that, too! I hope we might get to go back while A is still young enough to enjoy that experience!!
Renee, that's just crazy how BIG and grown up she looks!!! It's sort of scary, though precious, of course. ;) I HAVE to tell you about Lydia's twin who is at the pool during Hunter's swim lessons on Monday. You should bring Lydia one afternoon. It could be like looking in the mirror.
Looove the hair Renee! she is so blessed tohave a mom like you.trying everything!
