On Sunday, Lydia had a gymnastics birthday party. The parties at The Little Gym book up quickly and I was too late for all the February dates and times. This Sunday was the only time available any time soon that worked for us. Most weekends in March wouldn't work because of Spring Break and Easter. When I booked the party, I completely forgot that Wesley had a piano festival at the exact same time. Chris and I had to divide and conquer and it all worked out just fine.
Lydia only wanted to invite the girls in her class. Last year, she had a party at another Little Gym and we invited the whole class. This year, all but two of the girls from her class made it to the party. There were two other girls (one swim team friend and one church friend) there also. And Josiah, who loved the gymnastics class, especially the air mattress.
One thing all the girls really seemed to like was running into these large wedge mats
and knocking them over.
This big air mattress was also a huge hit.
There goes Lydia.
This year she didn't want a character on her cake. She only wanted flowers. Wesley got there right after this, just in time for cake.
Last year at Wesley's rock climbing party, I realized the hard way that cake isn't enough food after an hour of exercise even if isn't a meal time. For Lydia's party, we also had applies slices, grapes, and a fruit tray. The girls loved the cake and the fruit.
Our sweet little girl loved her party and being with her friends.
Here is a picture of the girls.
One more try.
I loved the party. I am so thankful for all of Lydia's sweet friends.
