One day over the summer Wesley asked me to put his backpack on for him so I did. Then he said, “We are going to look for dinosaurs. Come on Lydia.” She followed him around the house "looking" at dinosaurs.
Here Wesley was motioning for her to come over to the only thing I saw that resembled any type of animal.I don't know what Lydia was thinking about the "looking at dinosaurs." She seemed very happy to play along with him. We have noticed that she started doing imaginary play earlier than Wesley did. We are tempted sometimes into thinking that she is very smart (which she is, of course) but we also realized that Wesley often models imaginary play for her and she often copies what he does.
This "dinosaur" was one that they could ride so it was a big hit with both kids.
