I was tagged by Christie and Nancy to make these list. I tag everyone who wants to play along.
8 Things I Am Looking Forward To
1. Warm weather! I LOVE warm weather (above 75°).
2. My best friend from high school is coming to visit this weekend and, of course, we are going to do some walking!
3. Girls weekend with my friends from Tuesday Night Bible Study. Jenny invited me to join the group in 2000. We stopped meeting for a formal study in 2005 when Nancy moved to Texas but we have remained friends and there is intimacy still there because we share a history and a love for the Lord. Also I will get to meet Christie and see Jill again at a Girls Night Out!
4. Jessica is going to keep the kids for me this summer. So on the days I work I won’t be doing two separate drop off and pick ups. Instead I will be leaving them at home with a wonderful babysitter.
5. Camping! I can’t wait for our next family camping trip. Wesley asked at least once a week when we are going camping again. I usually say, “When it gets warm.” If it is a warm day he asks, “Can we go camping tonight?”
6. Nancy and Ainsley coming for a visit. I wish Mark was coming also. I am flying to Texas in less than two weeks (see #2) but it will be a little bittersweet because my kids won’t get to play with Ainsley so I can’t wait for them to all play together again. But this visit will be a little bittersweet because Mark and Chris won’t get to hang out.
7. Our tenth anniversary! I am thrilled that we will be celebrating 10 years of marriage in August. In many ways, our marriage is better than ever. And we might get to have a special trip in November (when it is a little cheaper).
8. Disney World in September with my in-laws. Chris and I had fun a few weekends ago but we are really looking forward to going with the kids and Grandma and Grandpa.
Eight Thi ngs I Wish I Could Do
1. Sing. I really am the worst singer in the world.
2. Dance. Chris won’t take lessons with me because he doesn’t think it would help.
3. Travel the world!
4. Go on a mission trip.
5. Be completely humble, gentle, patient and loving with everyone especially my family.
6. Not raise my voice at my children.
7. Get rid of all the clutter in my life. I am trying so hard to clean up the clutter in our house and I am seeing some success but there is still clutter. Just like in my life in general.
8. Have six pack abs.
Eight Things I Did Yesterday
1. Worked out
2. Tried to remember all the good advice I have been given
3. Had a playdate with a friend and her three kids
4. Played with play dough with the kids
5. Snuggled with the kids
6. Cooked dinner for my family
7. Went out to dinner with friends for a girls night out
8. Went to bed too late
Eight Shows I Am Currently Watching
1. American Idol
2. House
3. Scrubs
4. The Office
5-8 I don’t regularly watch any other shows. I sometimes watch What Not to Wear, John and Kate Plus Eight, and the Real Housewives of Orange County/New York (it is like watching a train wreck, I am appalled but I can’t turn it off).
