Our friend Cliff is a pilot in the Air Force and he took us to see his plane today.
I think Cliff is Wesley's new best friend.

I think Chris enjoyed it just as much as, if not more than, the kids.
I also had a turn in the pilot's seat in both planes.
After leaving the base we went to National Harbor to my favorite Mexican restaurant then we went out to the beach for a few minutes. Lydia got sand everywhere very quickly.

On the way back to the car, Wesley joyfully took a shower in a fountain.
We are so thankful to our friends for a wonderful day.

Oh how fun. I would have loved that! I want to know more about your new favorite mexican restaurant, too.
That looks like tons of fun! Maybe one of the kids will be a pilot!
